Browse NatureServe Web Services Web Services on this page are provided for the version 1.0 release of the NatureServe Species XML schemas and the version 1.0 release of the NatureServe Species Occurrence XML schemas. Get Species The Get Species service provides access to species-level data as represented by NatureServe's biodiversity data model. Name Search The Name Search service provides the ability to search for a species based on its name and get summary information about the species returned. This service can be combined with the Get Species service to resolve a species name to the unique id required by that service. Is Present (coming soon) The Is Present service provides the ability to determine if a given species exists within an associated geographic boundary. Get Species Occurrence (coming soon) The Get Species Occurrence service provides access to species occurrence-level data as represented by NatureServe's biodiversity data model, the spatial representation of the occurrence. |
