User Registration Workflow - Steps Followed by the Request Processing Engine

Steps Followed by the Request Processing Engine After a User has been Validated

Once the user's identity has been validated and the user has been assigned to a pre-defined category, this information is submitted back to the request processing engine to assign initial privileges. The request processing engine performs the following steps:
For each member program within the geographic extent of the data request, it compares the pre-defined user category to that program's data access policy.
It notifies any member program for which the data access policy does not grant sufficient privileges for the pre-defined user category. The notification asks the member program if they want to make the data available for a fee.
Finally, it submits all information (pre-defined fees, notification of member programs and pending response) to the fee calculator. Because the current fee structures for many member programs make automatic calculation unfeasible, this fee calculator may be limited to displaying the fee information available for the affected member program data (which is to be processed manually by the NatureServe Data Request Reviewer).
