Grant Opportunities

NatureServe’s long-term vision is to develop a distributed Web services architecture in which each data provider can respond to data requests from our central gateway site, or can respond directly to approved users and compatible third-party applications. On this page we will highlight possible funding sources to support your program’s ability to develop local Web services that would:

• support your ability to participate in a the distributed data system architecture being designed by NatureServe,

• increase your program’s ability to serve data directly to approved users via the Internet, and

• enhance data sharing among members of the NatureServe network.

Current funding opportunities:

• NatureServe announces a pilot project for two eligible member programs – deadline January 6, 2006
