Browse NatureServe Web Services - Species Name Search (beta) The Species Name Search service is used to resolve a species common name or scientific name into the specific element concept as defined by NatureServe and returns summary information about the species, including its unique identifier. Use this service to resolve a species name to the unique identifier required by the Get Species Data service. By combining these two services, you can retrieve NatureServe Explorer species reports directly into your own applications.
